This is the 3 remaining from the 6er I brought back from Philly.. you better be OK with briefs again, cause that's all ya get
Yards - Brawler - Pugilist Style Ale
a 4.2% ABV English Dark Mild Ale.. this pours an orange/brown with a minimal head. There's some really nice sweet fruit notes to this.. raisin, green grape with caramel and sweeter breads. True to the style it's a malt-forward brew, but a very easy-drinking, low-ABV beer at that. It's incredibly balanced, light, but flavorful.. with caramel and bready malts taking the lead. A light, clean English hop profile comes out at the brew warms.. nutty and sweetly fruity. I would love having this bear all day, year round.. solid session!

Yards - Poor Richard's Tavern Spruce Ale
A 5.0% spiced ale that uses spruce tips and molasses, brewed in honor of Ben Franklin's 300th birthday originally.. the ingredients reflecting the fact that traditional brewing ingredients weren't always available in revolutionary America. Ruby malty.. nutty, sweet and touches of spice and spruce faux-hoppiness. Like a light brown ale, the malts take center stage, sweet, nutty, faintly toasty.. mild spruce pine and mint notes. finishes smooth and sweet. This is a nice lil change of pace and cool twist on a spiced beer.

Yards - General Washington's Tavern Porter
a 7.0% Porter. Smells just the way you'd want a Porter to smell... chocolate, oats, coffee, somewhat roasty, vanilla and darker fruits, slightly Quad-esque. It's smooth and roasty, full-bodied. Again, just what you'd want a Porter to be, rich chocolate, coffee and roasty malts, smoother sweet vanilla notes. Slightly warming, slick brown sugar and molasses on the finish with a deep roasty, almost smokey quality. it's smooth but rough at the same time.. a solid Porter.. complex but no frills
